The company said the revised method more closely matches comparable marketplaces. It has advised users to examine their items and manually change the size where appropriate, resulting in member annoyance. Measurement Approach Changes Earlier, the measurements included one number and one letter, like S/8 or M/10. The updated approach includes a letter and a range for example S/UK 8-10. With some products, the sizing has been recategorised - like an L measurement used to be a 12 but now shows as UK 16-18. Shopper Stories One content creator, who creates plus-size fashion videos, stated the update "complicates both purchasing and selling". "Rarely do manufacturers list XL as sizes 20-22," which is what Vinted now does. A different member, from Glasgow, explained products she uploaded on Vinted with size 14 labels were showing in the marketplace as size 20–22. "If buyers measuring 20-22 acquire them they will likely be quite upset," she stated. Necessary Adjustments Another shopper, located in England, explained she became annoyed by the change as she had to manually change the sizing for "all her products". "Personally, this is quite irritating, since I have chronic health issues and platform income has been essential after experiencing income reduction," she said. Platform Context The platform boasts over 100 million users, including 18 million in the UK. It has proved a popular alternative versus similar marketplaces including eBay and Depop.
