The Fallout Salah was left out from a European match after voicing frustrations and claiming his relationship with manager had soured. “Salah is an individual and he can say his own stuff,” Jones told Sky Sports. “His apology was clear and was like: ‘If I’ve affected anybody, I'm sorry.’” The head coach has refused to comment publicly on whether he was apologised to from the player. Looking Ahead He emphasized that the team's response stayed normal. “He was the exact same Mo, he had a big smile on his face and everybody was exactly the same with him,” the midfielder explained. The midfielder also suggested that a player's desire to start is preferable. “It's clear there are specific approaches you can express yourself,” he said. “Yet, should someone be happy to just sit out, then I think that’s more of an issue.” Team Form Their results have been impressive in the period after the situation. Jones believes the forward's comments were not intended to destabilise the squad. “In moments of frustration, it’s always been from a place of caring,” Jones concluded. “That chapter is closed and we’re gelling well as a team, getting results and securing victories.”
