Homages Continue for the Reiners as Autopsy Reports Are Sealed.

More than two weeks subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of celebrated filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, friends and colleagues are still paying respects to the duo.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Writing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he finally felt prepared to post publicly about his deep grief.

"Enough time has passed that I can finally express my sorrow into words," shared Elwes, adding that his initial encounter with Reiner left him smitten. "Once we started spending more time together I understood this was someone I longed to have in my life."

The actor uploaded never-before-seen clips from the film, remarking that he could not remember "a single day without laughter".

"The film is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Things that Rob cherished deeply. That is part of the many reasons he was the best person to guide it," Elwes continued.

He additionally honored Michele Reiner, stating: "Claiming that they were a formidable pair would be an understatement. My heart still pangs every time I recall you." He finished with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but living is anguish without you."

Martin Scorsese Reflects on a Fellow Artist

In a separate essay, revered director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes acutely humorous, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese shared.

Scorsese mentioned Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, portraying the father of the lead role.

"He could improvise with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked seamlessly with the cast, and he grasped the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese wrote.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Sealed

Recently, a Los Angeles court official agreed to bar the release of the Reiners' medical examiner's reports, at the request from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A judicial mandate issued a embargo on the investigation to prohibit the public release of "any investigative information, documents, files or images" connected to the active case.

The Medical Examiner's office had already determined their deaths were the outcome of foul play, with a official listing noting the cause as "injuries from a sharp object".

Response and Criticism

In the wake of the tragedy, public individuals offered varying comments.

Former President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, making controversial statements that were met with immediate backlash by numerous public figures.

Podcaster Joe Rogan contributed his criticism to the critics recently. Conversing on his podcast, Rogan described the remarks as "shocking" and implied they showed a concerning lack of empathy.

Rogan finished by suggesting that an adviser could have acted when the decision to weigh in on the tragedy was made.
