FC Barcelona to Host Inaugural Game at Upgraded Camp Nou on Saturday

Barça revealed they are set to host at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou this Saturday. The club will host the Bilbao team in domestic competition two and a half years following their departure to allow renovations to start.

“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available but 45,401 spectators are permitted inside as per the current authorization. After final construction, the stadium’s capacity will reach over 104,000 attendees, a rise from the old capacity. Officials confirmed recent additions comprise an updated entryway for the team and new dressing rooms.

Preparatory Events

The club conducted a fan-accessible workout at the Camp Nou earlier this month. They mentioned they are seeking authorization from Uefa to play their next home Champions League game versus the German side next month in the renovated venue. Their recent games have been held in the temporary ground.
